My Discovery Call Today
As part of my journey to build my Life and Career Coaching and Recruiting practice, which began in 2021, I am focusing on making meaningful discovery calls—one call at a time.
Today, I had the opportunity to reconnect with a prospect I hadn’t spoken to since 2011. Following the process I’ve put in place, she scheduled a meeting through my Square. Though we encountered a few technical challenges with Zoom, we eventually connected.
She shared that she had recently been terminated from her job and has spent the past two years engaged in social media consulting work. As we spoke, I realized she was eager to transition back into a full-time role.
However, after the call, I found myself feeling a bit down, which is unusual for me. Typically, I bring energy to every interaction. I started wondering if it was the technology hiccups or the fact that she had to reschedule our original meeting that left me feeling this way.
The good news is that she rebooked a follow-up appointment. She’s in a desperate situation, actively seeking new opportunities. With her scientific engineering background and my combined expertise in life coaching, career coaching, and recruiting, I believe we can work together to turn things around for her.
We’ll follow the process, and I’m confident that with my coaching and recruiting skills, we can help her land a position that aligns with her talents.
